Chubb’s Digital Blink Targets Consumer Sales via Partner, Affinity Companies

Chubb has launched a digital platform to sell select insurance coverage to “digitally savvy” consumers, primarily through Chubb's affinity, corporate and digital brokerage partners to their members, employees and customers.

The platform, Blink by Chubb, represents a new brand focused on providing “easy, effortless and affordable insurance products”. The first product to come out of the launch is Personal Cyber ​​Protection, with other planned benefits for sick pay, travel, life insurance and gadgets.

Cyber ​​policy is now available in 25 states. It offers $ 10,000 in cyber protection coverage for one household. Increased coverage limits can be purchased for comprehensive protection for up to five additional households.

A survey by Chubb found that there is a significant gap between those concerned about personal cyber security (over 80%) and those who have cyber insurance (only 16%).

Blink offers flexible, customizable coverage options. The policy is modular and written in clear, understandable language.

Chubb says the coverage will be "made for consumers just starting to identify their insurance needs and for those who know exactly what coverage they want."

Bennett said Chubb & # 39; s partnership approach enables Blink to connect "where there are natural connections for partner companies to provide their consumers with an additional option when purchasing other products and services."

Although the products are paid for by the customer, employers can add them to their benefits package.

Bennet said Blink was designed as an “ end-to-end, do-it-yourself '' digital consumer experience that falls outside of the airline's established independent quote systems.

Among Chubb's various digital platforms, Chubb Marketplace is an agent platform that digitizes the adoption and sale of products for small businesses while streamlining the process for small business customers.

Product sales on the website are handled by Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency Inc.
